Can you use that Tilta cage without that DJI handle extender piece? That DJI handle extender piece serves no purpose because the Tilta cage has those tripod screw holes. There many other aftermarket bottom pieces to replace that DJI extension piece, they are much more shorter and also have that 90 degree USB-C socket. I prefer cages that clamp around OP3, but it's a matter of taste. FOTGA brand's cage is improved version of Tilta cage, it has arca tripod quick release compatibility and you can use short or long bottom extension piece.

That rig makes no sence for the Osmo pocket 3. If you are going to rig it all out you should buy a regular camera.....The pocket 3 is to get away from big rigs like that...

I enjoy watching how folks rig up small cameras, not because they're always practical, but because folks are usually trying to use small gear for bigger than as-intended needs. The better carry handle(s) and the weight will both stabilize the camera. Anyone who has used the OP3 knows that the gimbal does a very good job, but it isn't perfect. And if you want to 1-hand an external mic that isn't a lav or a fill light or both, this will let you get there.

Great Idea! I was looking for something I could mount a small stereo mic to for ambient nature sounds. Of course, I don't want to use my heavy mirrorless setup for walking down the trails. I held off on buying the pocket 3 for a while because I needed a setup like this to mount everything, and it's still super lightweight. I do nature videos and I could even use this for some hard-to-reach areas on the river where I don't want to risk damaging thousands of dollars worth of camera gear carrying a heavy adventure bag I could just fit this all in a small pack. Is it as good as mirrorless quality? Probably not but the pocket 3 still has a very good video quality and will work.
